S6 Screen Is Black And White
Problem: I was cross country skiing yesterday, took a video and put the phone back in my pocket.  Later when I looked the screen was in black and white. I tried the obvious, checking battery save options which were off.  I restarted the phone and the first 2 screens came up in color then went to black and white again.  Now I can’t do anything though the home page comes up, it won’t react to touch at all.  I can hear vibration alerts but aren’t able to select anything.  Also can’t shut it down because can’t press any option on the screen.  Can you please help??  Thank you!
Solution: It looks like the display of the phone may have been damaged. TRy to simulate a battery pull first and see if this resolves the problem. To do this just press and hold the power button and volume down button simultaneously for seven seconds. Your phone will restart after this. If the issue still remains then check if you can access the recovery mode. If you can then I highly suggest you do a factory reset. Take note that this will delete your phone data so make sure to have a backup copy before proceeding with this procedure.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail then I suggest you have your phone checked at an authorized service center.
