M8 Audio Jack Not Working
Problem: So my phone is having problems with the audio jack and how it doesn’t recognize the headphones are plugged in also all my music is on the phone so I am afraid to reset it because I’ll have to download all the music again.
Solution: The first thing you need to do is to determine if it’s really a problem with the audio jack or the headphones itself. Try inserting another headphones that is known to work and see if the issue disappears. If it doesn’t work then it’s most likely an issue with the audio jack itself.
Carefully inspect the audio jack and see if there are any dirt or lint inside. This causes an improper contact between your headphones and the audio jack resulting in this issue. To clean the audio jack use a toothpick.
Once you have verified that the audio jack is clean then try to test your headphones again. If the problem still persists then you may really have to do a factory reset on your phone to eliminate any software related causes. You need to back up your data first as this will be erased in the process. You can copy your music files to a folder in your PC and transfer it back to your phone once the factory reset has completed.
- Turn off device
- Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then press and hold the POWER button.
- Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
- Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.
- After the factory reset immediately check if the issue you are experiencing is still present. If it is then this may already be a hardware issue. In this case you will have to bring your phone to an authorized service center for repair.M8 Won’t Turn OnProblem: Good morning, today morning I was using my phone for tweeting then all of a sudden my phone blacked out at a percentage of 40%. M8 Download All Photos From Google+Problem: Good day, I am an android user now with the new HTC ONE M8 and had a query on my data transfer. I have my pictures on google+ and want to download them to my phone. But I noticed that I had to select one by one of my 2000 + pictures and download them to gallery. Please advice what can be done to download all of the pictures from google+ to my gallery in a simple way, instead of what I have to go through selecting one by one of my pictures to and then download them . Your support on this matter is very much appreciated.Solution: Right now if you want to download your Google+ photos on your phone you will have to select the photos you need and download them.- Open the Google+ app.
- Touch the photo you want to download.
- Touch the menu button or icon and select Download.
There is no way right now to select all of your photos in Google+ and download them to your phone using an Android device. You can however download all of your Google+ photos to a computer then transfer them to your phone manually. To do this just access the websitehttps://www.google.com/takeout/ from a browser on your PC. Here you can download all of your data stored in Google. Click on the button that says select none first then browse to the bottom until you reach the part that says Google Photos. Click on the button (make sure you see a green check mark). Click on next then choose the photo file type compression (zip, tgz, or tbz) and choose the delivery method (send download link via email or through Drive).Once you have downloaded your photos to your PC just connect your phone using a USB cord to your PC and copy the photos to it.M8 Acts On Its Own When ChargingProblem: Hi, I bought an HTC one m8 about 2 months back and since then whenever I keep my phone for charging and use it while it is charging it somehow starts to behave on its own like when I open whatsapp chats randomly start opening and when I try to go back it instead opens gallery and stuff like that or when I check my Instagram it randomly scrolls down and up and likes pictures on its own and the explore page opens without me even touching it. Hence it’s very difficult for me to use the phone while charging. Please can you advice me what to do. Thanks in advance.Solution: If this problem only happens when you are charging then try to use a different charger. The current charger you are using may already be faulty which is causing this issue. Make sure to also replace the USB cord that you are using to charge your phone.Another possible cause of this is a glitch in the software. In this case you will have to perform a factory reset on your phone. Make sure to back up your data first as this will be deleted in the process.- Turn off device
