A lot of people who own the #Samsung Galaxy #Note4 are impressed with its camera. Sporting a 16MP rear camera and a 3.7MP front camera, the phone can easily capture great shots that are often far more superior than those taken by dedicated point and shoot cameras. Samsung has achieved this by the combining a great hardware and software. There are however instances when you are ready to take a shot the camera will not function properly. This is what we will tackle today as we address the Galaxy note 4 camera server error occurred issue & other related problems.

Note 4 Camera Server Error Occured
Problem: Try to open the camera to take pictures and a black screen popped up and an error message: Server Error Occured. Restart Camera. I contacted the Samsung tech support and did all the things you mentioned in your article and nothing works. I did a check myself and the selfie camera works, and video works. but it does not work the front view for regular shots.
Solution: If you have already performed our recommended troubleshooting steps for this type of issue then this could already be a hardware related problem. The camera module could be faulty, there may be a loose connection between the camera module and the board, or the camera driver in the board could be defective. If this is a hardware related issue then the best thing that you can do is to bring the phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Camera Failed Error
Problem: I receive camera failed messages for no apparent reason. Also when I’m able to activate the camera many times it turns on yet it’s sideways and blurred and stretched out the focus that is. I try to restart sometimes that works many times it does not I’ve also taking the battery out and reinstalled and the issue with the camera still continues it just started proximately maybe 4-5 months ago I thought maybe shortly after a system update. Please email me thank you. Also I’m not sure which brand of camera I have all I know is a Samsung Note 4
Solution: The problem could be caused by corrupt temporary data in your device. Try clearing the cache and data of the camera app and see if this helps. You should also wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
If the issue still persists then the next step is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem. To do this just start the phone in Safe Mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while apps you downloaded are disabled. If you don’t experience any camera related issues in this mode then the problem is most likely caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the problem occurs even in Safe Mode then I highly recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This reverts your phone back to its original state when it was new. After the reset do not install anything in your phone. You should check first if the camera is working properly.
If the problem still occurs even after a reset then this could already be a hardware related issue. If this is the case then I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Camera Pictures Are Blurred
Problem: I am using samsung galaxy Note 4. Model SM-N910C. I am facing problem of camera pictures are little bit blurred not sharp pictures colours are not so bright and pictures became fade on both sides camera either front or back camera please help me to fix this problem. I ‘ll be very thankful to you for this act of kindness.
Solution: The first thing that you should do in this case is to make sure that the camera lens is clear of any smudges or dirt. If necessary, clean the lens with a microfiber cloth. This type of cloth is highly recommended since it does not scratch the lens. Next, if there is a screen protector installed that may be covering the front camera lens I suggest you remove it first. For the rear camera you should also check if the protective film is still attached to its lens. If it is then remove it. If the phone is inside a case then remove it first.
Moving to the phone software the first thing you need to do is to clear the cache and data of the camera app. This app may have some corrupt temporary data that is causing the problem. It’s also best if you follow this up by wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
One factor that can also cause this issue is a third party app installed in your phone. To check if this is the case just start the device in Safe Mode. When your phone is in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the camera still has issues in this mode. If there are none then it’s possible that an app could be causing the problem. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset immediately check the status of the camera.
Note 4 Camera Media Server Failed
Problem: Camera does not open to take photos/videos it stays dark and then a warning windows pops up saying “media Server failed. Camera needs restart”.
- I unistalled new app
- I restarted the phone
- cleared cache and data of camera
- transferred albums to pc so that i can erase those on phone and make space
Result “Media Server failed. Camera needs restart” please help … this is urgent as on sunday i have a photo shoot with my phone’s camera
Solution: I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Before using the camera take out the microSD card of the phone (if you have one installed). Check if the issue still occurs. If it does then it is possible that this could already be a hardware related issue. I suggest you have your phone checked at an authorized service center.
Note 4 Takes Too Long To Focus
Problem: When I start up the camera it sometimes takes a minute or so to focus, and I miss photo opportunities.
Solution: Before troubleshooting the phone make sure that the camera lens is clear and that nothing is obstructing its view.
- If the lens has smudges or dirt then clean it using a microfiber cloth
- If the lens has a protective transparent film on it then remove the film
- If you are using a phone case then take this out.
To troubleshoot this problem you should first try to clear the cache and data of the camera app. This deletes the temporary data of the app which could cause this issue.
You should also try to wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
Sometimes, an app you installed could cause this problem. To check if this is the case just start the phone in Safe Mode. In this mode only the original pre-installed apps of your phone are allowed to run. Check if the camera focuses well in this mode. If the issue disappears then it could be caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail then I suggest you backup your phone data and do a factory reset.
Note 4 Has Vertical Colored Lines
Problem: On choosing 16mp camera resolution on my note 4 i see some vertical coloured lines which get very evident in low light and affects picture quality too.. Any solutions.
Solution: For this issue I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is done immediately check if the issue still occurs. If it does then this could already be a hardware related problem. I would suggest that you bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
